Feira Mais in Castro resumes programming in October with four cycles of service
Program returns to communities and neighborhoods on October 8, 9, 14 and 15; by 2026, 81 tons of recyclables have already been collected
The Feira Mais program resumes in October the programming that had to be postponed in September because of the rains that have reached the interior of Castro. There will be four cycles of care, on October 8, 9, 14 and 15, contemplating rural communities and neighborhoods of the city.
The initiative encourages the correct disposal of recyclable materials and offers food kits produced by farmers in the municipality. To participate, it is necessary to bring clean and dry recyclable materials. Those who deliver more than 10 kilos of recyclable materials receive a food kit.
The resumption begins on Thursday (8), with attendances in Caxambu, Três Pinheiros, Podolan and Samambaia. On Friday (9), the team will be in Vila Poço Grande, Vila Santa Cruz and Santa Clara.
The following week, the program continues for neighborhoods also of the urban area and inland communities. On the 14th, will be attended Workers Village, Pandorf Garden and Dawn Garden. Already on the 15th, the program passes through Agostinhos, Pereiras, Guararema and Rio Abaixo.
Results
The Feira Mais has been expanding the scope of shares throughout 2026. To date, 81 tons of recyclable materials have been collected, while 41 tons of food have been distributed to the population.
The program has also carried out 4,183 attendances this year, combining incentives for recycling, correct waste disposal, food safety and the enhancement of the production of farmers in the municipality.
The guideline is for the population to take to the collection points only the materials accepted by the program, always clean and dry. The correct separation contributes to the use of recyclables and to the proper functioning of the collection.
