Fernando Calderari's Exhibition Continues Until October 26 in Ponta Grossa
Fernando Calderari's Exhibition Features Paintings, Engravings and Objects at the Municipal Collection of Art Works in Ponta Grossa. Admission is free.

The exhibition “Calderari: love, beyond the sea” is open for visitation in Ponta Grossa until next October 26th. Installed in the Municipal Collection of Artworks, the exhibition integrates the programming of the Casa Alfredo Andersen Satellite Museum (MCAA) and brings together paintings, engravings and objects by Fernando Calderari.
The visit is free and can be done from Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 9 pm, and on Saturdays, from 8 am to 5 pm. The space works on Rua Augusto Ribas, 722, in the Center of Ponta Grossa.
Shows honoring Calderari's trajectory
The exhibition highlights the production of Fernando Calderari, considered one of the precursors of abstractionism in the Paraná. The works presented help to tell the trajectory of the artist and its importance for the history of the visual arts in the State.
The exhibition also highlights Calderari's artistic formation. He was a disciple of Theodore De Bona, who, in turn, studied with Alfredo Andersen, considered one of the main names in the history of Paraná painting.
Satellite Museum expands access to culture
The Satellite Museum is installed in the Collection of Artworks of the Municipal Secretariat of Culture of Ponta Grossa, through partnership with the State Secretariat of Culture of Paraná (SEEC).
The initiative integrates a policy of cultural decentralization of the State Government, bringing collections and programming of the state museums to different regions of the Paraná. The proposal is to expand the population’s access to art, memory and cultural heritage.
After the closure of “Calderari: love, beyond the sea”, a new exhibition should occupy the Satellite Museum in Ponta Grossa, giving continuity to the cultural programming in the municipality.
