A principle of fire in a residence in the neighborhood Uvaranas, in Ponta Grossa, mobilized teams of the Fire Department and Siate on Friday (6). The incident was recorded at José Primor Street and left two people who needed medical attention after inhaling smoke.

According to preliminary information, the fire started after a short circuit in the electrical installation, near the lining of the property. The flames partially spread towards the kitchen, causing concern among the residents.

Populars helped contain the flames

Before the arrival of the emergency teams, residents and the people used hoses to try to prevent the fire from hitting other parts of the residence.

The action helped to contain the initial advance of the fire until the arrival of the Fire Department, which was activated to attend to the occurrence.

At the site, firefighters used fire fighting equipment and hoses to completely control the flames and prevent the fire from spreading to other rooms of the property.

Two people needed medical attention.

During the attempt to control the fire, a 22-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man ended up inhaling smoke.

Given the situation, teams of the Integrated Emergency Trauma Service (SIATE) were called to provide care to the victims. There was also medical support to monitor the occurrence.
