Firefighters' Headquarters Reinaugurated After Renovation in Ponta Grossa
Ponta Grossa Firefighters' Headquarters Undergoes Renovation, Resumes Services and Now Houses the Soldiers' School
The Ponta Grossa Fire Department headquarters, located in the Industrial District, receives this Thursday (5), at 2 pm, the solemnity of delivery of the renovation works of the Technical Training Center (CCT). The revitalization represents an important advance for the public safety of the municipality, allowing the resumption of operational services and strengthening the training of new professionals of the corporation.
The work was carried out with resources from the Municipal Fund for Reequipment of the Fire Department (FUMCOB) and parliamentary amendments intended by councilors of Ponta Grossa. The investments made it possible to recover the physical structure of the unit, which now meets the conditions to develop training activities and attendance to the population.
Reform allows for resumption of attendance
One of the main results of the reform is the reactivation of the barracks to attend to occurrences in the Industrial District region. The measure expands the operational structure available to the Fire Department and strengthens the response capacity of the corporation in that region of Ponta Grossa.
In addition to emergency response, the revitalization allowed the space to play a strategic role in the training of public safety professionals.
School of Soldiers is already in operation
The new structure also made possible the installation of the School of Soldiers of the Fire Department, whose activities are already underway.
With the recovery of the facilities, the Technical Training Center resumes its importance as a training and professional improvement pole of the 2nd Military Fire Battalion (2nd BBM), with the prospect of returning to be a state reference in the area.
The corporation stressed that the reform represents the enhancement of an important patrimony for the institution, providing better working conditions, training and preparation of future military firefighters.
Solemnity marks new phase of the barracks
The delivery ceremony takes place on Thursday (5), at 2 p.m., at the headquarters of the CCT, in the Industrial District of Ponta Grossa.
