Frontal collision between car and truck on PRC-466 kills 75-year-old driver
Collision occurred on Monday (5). Driver died at the scene.
A fatal accident occurred on Monday (5). The frontal collision between a Volvo truck and a Fiat Uno car occurred on the PRC-466 highway at kilometer 210, between Pitanga and Guarapuava, in the municipality of Boa Ventura de São Roque.
According to data collected on site by the State Highway Police (PRE), a truck Volvo FH 440 with a Campo Mourão plate, coupled to two carts, was traveling on the highway in the direction of Pitanga to Guarapuava. Upon reaching kilometer 210, the assembly was involved in a frontal collision with a Fiat Uno emplated in Boa Ventura de São Roque, which was traveling in the opposite direction.
The car was driven by a 75-year-old man who died at the scene. The body was sent to the IML of Guarapuava.
The driver of the truck, a 39-year-old man, suffered no injuries and underwent an ethylometer test, resulting in 0.00 mg/L.
The accident resulted in material damage to the vehicles. The Civil Police, IML and Criminalistics teams were present for the forensic procedures.
