Gás do Povo releases 3.1 million vouchers for free gas cylinder; learn how to check

The People's Gas program will make available 3.1 million vouchers for the free refill of kitchen gas cylinders next Tuesday (November 10). The Federal Government initiative seeks to expand access to cooking gas for low-income families, with an investment of more than R$ 337 million at this stage.

Of the total announced, 380,000 vouchers will be allocated to new beneficiary families, while another 2.7 million will serve families already participating in the program.

According to the data released by the Federal Government, the initiative has already reached more than 15 million families throughout the country and has a network of 27,160 accredited resellers.

Who has the right to the people’s gas?

To participate in the program, families must meet some criteria established by the Federal Government:

Have a monthly income of up to half the minimum wage per person;

Be registered in the Single Register (CadÚnico);

Keep the registration data updated in the last 24 months;

Do not submit registration pending;

Have the CPF of the family manager regularized in the Federal Revenue.

The inclusion in the program takes place automatically, without the need for specific registration.

The selection considers factors such as family income, number of members and situation of food insecurity. At this time, the priority is for families beneficiaries of Bolsa Família with two or more people.

Who gets the new voucher in November?

Among the families that already participate in the People’s Gas, two groups will be entitled to the new release this month, as long as they continue to meet the requirements.

Families with two or three people who received the benefit in August will be able to receive a new voucher, considering the three-month break.

Families with four or more members who received the benefit in September will be able to have a new release, respecting the two-month interval.

The other families must observe the individual calendar of availability of the benefit.

How to consult the benefit by the CPF?

Residents of Ponta Grossa, Campos Gerais and other regions of Brazil can verify if they were contemplated by the program through the official channels.

One of the options is to access the official website of the People's Gas.

On the page, simply inform the CPF of the family manager and select the option "Consult benefit". The system presents the situation of the family and, when there is a voucher available, the term for use.

Another alternative is the free My Social app, available for Android and iPhone phones. The tool allows you to track the release of the vouchers and receive notifications when a new benefit is available.

Free service to answer doubts

Families can also consult information through Social Disk 121, which offers electronic assistance 24 hours a day, every day of the week.

The human service works from Monday to Friday, from 7 am to 7 pm.

Caixa Econômica Federal also provides telephones 111 and 0800 726 0207 for guidance related to the program.
