GAT arrests two suspects for stealing wires from building in Visconde de Mauá

Two men were detained by the Tactical Actions Group (GAT) team after being caught during a wire theft in a property located in Avenida Visconde de Mauá, in the region of Oficinas, in Ponta Grossa.

According to the information passed on to the report, the team was activated by the Integrated Center of Public Security Operations (CIOPES) to verify a situation in the old building of Oi, near the motel Route 69.

The door of the house was broken down.

Upon arriving at the address, the officers found that one of the doors of the building had been broken into. During the entrance and checking of the property, two men were found hidden inside the premises.

At the time of the approach, according to the report of the occurrence, the suspects would have advanced against the agents. Given the situation, the team used moderate force to contain and immobilize the two men.

Electrical wires were found

During the investigation, the agents located electrical wires that would have been removed from the property. The material was seized and forwarded along with the suspects.

The two men, aged 19 and 37, were taken to the 13th Police Subdivision (13th SDP) of Ponta Grossa.

At the police station, they were available to the Civil Police for the appropriate procedures and arrangements related to the occurrence.

To date, no information has been disclosed about the amount of wires seized or about any damage caused to the property.
