GCM provides first aid and saves man during convulsive crisis in Ponta Grossa

The rapid action of the Municipal Civil Guard (GCM) of Ponta Grossa was fundamental for the care of a man found unconscious during a seizure in the region of Sabará, on Wednesday (21). The officers provided first aid to the victim, who presented scabies, bruises by the body and impairment of the airways.

According to the Municipal Secretariat of Citizenship and Public Security, the GETAM Charlie team was conducting preventive patrols in the region when it was approached by a resident, who reported the presence of a man who fell to the ground.

When they arrived at the scene, the guards found the victim unconscious, showing signs of seizure and breathing difficulties. In the face of the emergency situation, the team immediately began first aid procedures to provide assistance to the man until the arrival of specialized medical care.

GCM triggers SAMU and monitors victim care

During the first calls, the agents of the Municipal Civil Guard activated the Mobile Emergency Service (SAMU) and reported the occurrence to the Operations Center (CIOPS).

Shortly after, the Bravo 5 team of the SAMU arrived at the site and took over the emergency procedures. After receiving the necessary care, the man was referred to the Pronto Atendimento Unit (UPA) Santa Paula, where he was under the responsibility of the medical team.

During the incident, the municipal guards were also able to establish contact with a family member of the victim, ensuring that the family was informed of the situation.

So far, no updated information on the state of the man has been released.

Commander highlights preparation of the Municipal Civil Guard

The commander of the Municipal Civil Guard of Ponta Grossa, inspector Alessandro de Macedo, stressed the importance of the preparation of the agents to act in emergency situations, even during routine patrol activities.

"Our guards are prepared to act in different situations during patrol, including in the provision of first aid. The speed of service and the activation of specialized services are fundamental to ensure the necessary support until the arrival of the medical team," said the commander.

The occurrence highlights the importance of the Municipal Civil Guard of Ponta Grossa, which, in addition to public safety activities and preventive patrol, also provides assistance to the population in situations of risk and medical emergencies.
