Girl of 11 from PG asks for help to continue treatment and fulfill dream of becoming a ballerina
Crowdfunding for Raissa's treatment in Ponta Grossa seeks resources for physiotherapy and medical care for the 11-year-old girl

A cow for Raissa’s treatment in Ponta Grossa seeks to raise funds to help the 11-year-old continue medical care and physiotherapy sessions. Raissa has cerebral palsy with bilateral motor impairment, as well as a diagnosis of mild autism, and dreams of being able to walk without the help of crutches or walker and, in the future, become a dancer.
According to the report released by the family, the girl presents a picture resulting from cerebral ischemia and diffuse cerebral atrophy. She has undergone three surgeries and will have to undergo another procedure.
Currently, Raissa does physiotherapy at home and needs to maintain the treatment continuously.
Family seeks resources to maintain physiotherapy
Raissa’s mother organizes bazaars and other actions to help pay the expenses, but says the amount raised is not always enough to cover all the costs.
The concern of the family is that an interruption in the follow-up could hinder the progress achieved by the girl throughout the treatment.
“I can’t go without my treatment to not regress. I do physiotherapy at home and dream of walking without crutches and walker,” says the message released by the family on behalf of Raissa.
In addition to the financial collection, the family also asks for help in disseminating the campaign so that the story reaches more people.
Raissa's dream is to walk and be a dancer
Even in the face of the motor limitations and medical procedures she has gone through, Raissa maintains a dream that accompanies the campaign: to be able to run, walk independently and become a dancer.
“I am a child full of dreams and my dream is to run and be a dancer,” the statement read.
The campaign highlights that any contribution can help in the continuity of physiotherapy sessions and other expenses related to treatment.
