The Municipal Civil Guard (GCM) and the Traffic Superintendence of Ponta Grossa participated, on Tuesday (20), in the Trade Fair, held at the Campus Center of the State University of Ponta Grossa (UEPG). The initiative brought students closer to the activities developed by the municipal bodies and presented career possibilities in the areas of public safety and urban mobility.
The participation was organized by Prefeitura de Ponta Grossa, through the Municipal Secretariat of Citizenship and Public Security. During the event, representatives of the institutions spoke with the young people, clarified doubts about the attributions of each sector and explained the ways of entering the public service.
Promoted by the Judiciary, through the Auxiliary Service for Children and Youth, the Professions Fair brought together professionals from different areas to share experiences and guide students on professional choices and training opportunities.
Young people know the work of the Municipal Guard
The commander of the Municipal Civil Guard, inspector Alessandro de Macedo, stressed the importance of presenting to students the routine and the responsibilities of professionals who work in public safety.
"It was an opportunity to present the duties of the Municipal Guard, clarify doubts about the career and show young people the possibilities of acting in public safety, encouraging knowledge and professional preparation," he said.
In addition to knowing the roles played by GCM, participants were given guidance on the preparation needed to pursue a career in the sector.
Transit also presents professional opportunities
The Traffic Superintendence also took advantage of the meeting to explain to students the importance of professionals responsible for the organization of urban mobility and road safety in the municipality.
According to the superintendent of Trânsito, João Rodrigo, participation in the fair contributes to awaken the interest of young people in the area.
"Introducing the work of the Transit to young people allows to explain the importance of urban mobility and road safety, in addition to showing the possibilities of professional performance in this sector," he emphasized.
The presence of the institutions at the UEPG Trade Fair also provided direct contact between students and municipal servants, allowing young people to know different possibilities of professional activity and to clarify doubts about the functioning of public services.
