The Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) released the announcements of the largest Simplified Selection Process ever carried out by the body. In total, there are 9,590 temporary jobs across the country. Among them, there are IBGE vacancies in Ponta Grossa, aimed at middle-level candidates who wish to work in the areas of research and supervision.
In Paraná, 432 positions are offered for the position of Research and Mapping Agent (APM) and 59 positions for Collection and Quality Supervisor (SCQ). In Ponta Grossa, the process provides 15 vacancies distributed between the functions. The opportunities cover 35 municipalities where the IBGE has a service agency, including Curitiba and Campos Gerais cities.
The notices confirm vacancies for People with Disabilities (PcD), Black and Brown People (PPP), Indigenous People (PI) and Quilombola People (PQ), ensuring inclusion in the selection process. Applications start at 4 pm this Wednesday, November 19, 2025, and continue until December 11. The fee is R$ 38.50 for both positions, with the possibility of exemption for candidates enrolled in Cadúnico or bone marrow donors.
The objective tests, of eliminatory and qualifying nature, will be applied on February 22, 2026 in the municipalities with vacancies. The organizing bank is the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV), and all the documents of the process will be available on the official portal of the IBGE. The final result is scheduled for April 30, 2026.
The remuneration offered is R$ 2,676.24 for APM and R$ 3,379.00 for SCQ, in addition to benefits such as Food Aid in the amount of R$ 1,175.00, Transport Aid, Preschool Aid, proportional vacation and 13th proportional. Both positions require a middle level, but for the SCQ, it is mandatory to have a National License (CNH) category B or higher.
The contracts have an initial validity of one year, and can be extended for up to three years, according to the progress of the researches. Among the responsibilities are home visits, data collection, fieldwork organization, supervision of teams and assurance of the quality of information.
