Identified man found dead in the center of Ponta Grossa

Jefferson Luan dos Santos Ferreira de Lima was identified as the man found dead on Saturday morning (3), in Rua Ermelino de Leão, in the Center of Ponta Grossa. According to the information, Jefferson lived in a street situation. The age of the victim has not yet been reported.

The body was located by a popular around 5 a.m. After the situation was communicated to the authorities, a team of the Municipal Civil Guard (GCM) was triggered by Regional 01 and moved to the address.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers found Jefferson fallen on public roads and without vital signs. The area was isolated by the GCM team to preserve the site until the arrival of the other organs responsible for the care.

Samu confirmed the death

The Mobile Emergency Service (Samu) was activated and a team attended to Rua Ermelino de Leão. After medical evaluation, Jefferson's death was confirmed.

In the following, teams from the Scientific Police, the Civil Police and the Medical-Legal Institute (IML) were activated.

Experts performed the necessary procedures on site before the removal of the body, which was subsequently referred to the IML.

Victim was living in a street situation

Jefferson Luan dos Santos Ferreira de Lima lived in a street situation in Ponta Grossa. To date, no information about your age or other personal data has been officially disclosed.

Preliminary information obtained by the report indicates that Jefferson would have received care in one of the Pronto Atendimento Units (UPAs) of Ponta Grossa on September 30.

This information, however, still depends on official confirmation. There are also no elements, so far, that allow to establish a relationship between the possible previous medical care and the death recorded on Saturday.

Cause of death has not yet been reported

Until the publication of this article, the cause of Jefferson's death had not been officially disclosed.

The record of the occurrence does not, so far, point to circumstances that allow to affirm how the death occurred. The procedures carried out by the Scientific Police and the IML must assist in the clarification of the case.
