In Curitiba, Requião Filho highlights Paraná's strength in event with Lula
Requião Filho in Curitiba participates in event with Lula and highlights investments, social policies and partnership to strengthen Paraná.

Requião Filho in Curitiba participated on Saturday (12) in a political act alongside President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva in Boca Maldita, which gathered about 30,000 supporters, political leaders and voters from various regions of the Paraná. During the event, the candidate for the State Government highlighted the importance of a partnership between Paraná and the Federal Government to expand investments and opportunities.
The meeting also had the presence of the deputy in the panel, Michele Caputo, of the former governor Roberto Requião, in addition to the candidates for the Senate Gleisi Hoffmann and Dr. Rosinha. The mobilization brought together political representatives and supporters of the Requião Filho candidacy in different regions of the state.
During the speech, Requião Filho stated that it intends to unite its political trajectory in Paraná with Lula’s national experience to develop actions aimed primarily at attending the population.
“We want to unite the history of President Lula with the history I have here at Paraná. And when we put that together, we take care of people. We respect the people of Paraná,” the candidate said.
The candidate for the Government of Paraná also highlighted areas that he considers priority, such as health, education, public safety, care for women, the elderly and investments in the municipalities of the interior.
According to Requião Filho, the Paraná has economic and productive strength, but needs to expand its participation in national decisions to ensure new investments and opportunities for the population.
During the event in Curitiba, the candidate also criticized the opponents and stated that some proposals presented during the campaign do not represent the main needs of the Paranaenses.
“They say they want to build prisons. We want the Women’s and Children’s Hospital,” he said.
Lula highlights social policies during act in Curitiba
President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva also spoke during the event and highlighted the importance of public policies aimed at caring for the Brazilian population.
Among the themes addressed by the president were social actions, public investments and measures to combat violence against women.
Lula reinforced the need to expand policies of protection and respect for women, citing the National Pact in the Fight against Femicide.
“You have to treat women with the same respect that you treat your mother,” he said.
Boca Maldita has a political history on Paraná
The presence of Lula in Boca Maldita also rescued the historical symbolism of the space for Paraná politics.
The site was the scene, on January 12, 1984, of one of the first major acts of Directs Já in Curitiba. At the time, Lula participated in the mobilization that gathered approximately 50,000 people in defense of the direct elections for president of the Republic.
The act on Saturday reinforced the presence of the candidate Requião Filho in the dispute for the Government of Paraná and marked a political mobilization with the participation of state and national leaders.
