Investigated in the case of Hugo Gabriel Moll's death, which occurred in a barbershop in Ponta Grossa, he was released, according to his defense.
One of those investigated in the case involving the death of Hugo Gabriel Moll, murdered inside a barbershop in Ponta Grossa, was released after the expedition of a release permit. The information was released on Monday (28) by the defense lawyer, Piero Mocelim.
The murder took place on June 19, 2026. Hugo was shot by a gun inside the establishment and died on the spot. The owner of the barbershop was also shot, but survived.
According to information presented by the defense, one of the investigative lines points out that the crime may have occurred due to an error in execution. The real target of the authors would have left the barbershop a few seconds before Hugo's arrival at the establishment.
Defense denies involvement in crime
In a statement to the press, the defense said that since the beginning of the investigation, it maintains that its client did not participate in the planning or execution of the murder.
According to the lawyer Piero Mocelim, the police authority did not request the conversion of the temporary prison of the investigated into preventive detention.
With the closure of the term of temporary imprisonment, the Justice determined the placement of the man in freedom.
“The defense trusts that the full clarification of the facts will ratify what the elements already produced in the investigation demonstrate: the absence of the constituent’s participation in the criminal episode,” the statement said.
The release of the investigated person does not, in itself, represent the closure of the investigation into the case. The circumstances of the murder and the possible involvement of the investigators are subject to the conclusions of the authorities responsible for the investigation.
The case happened in June
Hugo Gabriel Moll died after being shot inside the barbershop, in Ponta Grossa. The case was investigated by security forces to identify those responsible, clarify the motivation and determine the circumstances of the execution.
According to the version mentioned by the defense, Hugo would not be the target initially intended by the perpetrators of the crime.
