Irati: Military Police dismantle drug trafficking point
A ROTAM team operation resulted in the arrest of a suspect for drug trafficking and the seizure of crack and cocaine
An action by the ROTAM team ended with the arrest of a suspected drug trafficker and the seizure of crack, cocaine, money and cell phones in the Vila São João neighborhood of Irati on Saturday.
It all began during patrols in the neighborhood, when police saw a black vehicle parked near a place where drug trafficking was taking place.
THE PURCHASE
After the car was parked, an individual disembarked, ran off towards the traffic site and stayed there for less than a minute. Then he returned in accelerated steps to the vehicle. Faced with the suspicious attitude, the team made the approach to the vehicle.
In the passenger's cap, the police found a shell of crack-like substance, which in later weighing totaled 0.4 grams.Asked about the origin of the drug, the passenger reported that he is a narcotic user and that that day had gone to the place with the vehicle to buy the drug.
He also described the seller: a boy in black pants and white t-shirt.
IN THE SUSPECT'S HOUSE
With the information and elements of the trafficking crime, the team moved to the indicated residence.
On arrival, an individual noticed the police approaching and tried to escape, dispensing something on the couch. It was contained next. On the couch, the police found three envelopes of crack-like substance. Still on the couch, there was a black water bottle with 5 crack wrappers inside, totaling 2.3 grams. On top of a rack, the team visualized a glass tray with a knife, next to several cut pieces of aluminum, used to pack new portions of narcotics.
In the same place, several film paper packagings were found, used to pack larger portions before fractionation, in addition to 5 wrappers of cocaine-like substance, which weighed 3.6 grams.
Prison
In the face of the facts, a voice of arrest was given to the second person approached. On the spot, a cellular device, a knife, aluminum foil and a certain amount of money were also seized. Both those approached were referred to the Civil Police Station of Irati, along with all the drug seized, for the appropriate procedures.
