The 60+ Games of Ponta Grossa began on Tuesday (13) with an opening ceremony marked by integration, cheering and fraternization moments in the Social Hall of CECON New Russia. The program continues until Friday (16), bringing together activities aimed at promoting health, sport and coexistence among people over 60.

Promoted by Prefeitura de Ponta Grossa, through the Municipal Secretariat of Sports, with support from the Ponta Grossa Social Assistance Foundation (FASPG), the event seeks to stimulate the practice of physical activities and strengthen social bonds between participants.

The opening featured traditional elements of sports competitions, such as the Olympic torch, as well as the participation of senior groups and guests.

Programming continues with dance and gincana

This Wednesday (14), from 13:30 to 16:00, the Salon of CECON New Russia receives the Thematic Ball, which will also have the choice of the King and the Queen of the Games 60+.

On Thursday (15), the activities will be held at the Zukão Gymnasium, also from 1.30 pm to 4.00 pm, with a Sports Gymnasium specially prepared for the participants.

The closing takes place on Friday (16), again between 1.30 and 4.00 pm, with the awarding of the participants and actions developed by the municipal secretariats in the Social Hall of CECON New Russia and in the Zukão Gymnasium.

The event values the participation of the elderly

According to her, activities such as the 60+ Games contribute to stimulating movement, coexistence and strengthening community bonds, as well as providing opportunities for leisure and integration.

The president of FASPG, Tatyana Belo, also stressed that the event represents a moment of celebration of the activities carried out throughout the year by CECON attendees.
