Joint Operation Seizes 3 Kilos of Marijuana in Ponta Grossa

During the night of Wednesday (16), around 21 hours, teams of the Civil Police and the Group of Special Operations (GOE) of the Municipal Civil Guard, in Ponta Grossa, carried out a joint operation after receiving information about an individual who was carrying out drug trafficking. In total, approximately three kilograms of marijuana and 500 grams of hashish were seized, in addition to a precision scale.

During the diligence, the teams moved to the indicated place, where marijuana tablets, hashish and a precision scale were located, materials that indicated possible activity related to narcotics trafficking.

The suspect was not located during the action. As informed by his parent, he would have left the site just before the arrival of the teams.

In the face of the facts, all the material located was collected and forwarded to the Civil Police Station, for the appropriate measures. The teams conducted patrols in the vicinity, but did not succeed in locating the individual.

The suspect has been identified and will have to clarify later, in the context of the investigation.

The action reinforces the integration between the Civil Police and the Municipal Civil Guard, which continue to act jointly in the confrontation of drug trafficking and in the preservation of the safety of the population.
