Journalist Ceres Vieira dies at 63 in Ponta Grossa

The journalist Ceres Vieira died on Saturday (05), at the age of 63, in Ponta Grossa. The professional was hospitalized in a serious condition in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Unimed Hospital and the information was confirmed by the family.

With a trajectory marked by communication and commitment to information, Ceres Vieira built a distinguished career in journalism of Campos Gerais. She had passages by several communication vehicles in Ponta GRossa, in addition to acting in the communication of the City of Castro.

Throughout her career, the journalist has followed different moments of the regional press, contributing to the recording of important facts and for public communication. After working in the media, Ceres also graduated in Law and began working in the area of family and successions.

The death of journalist Ceres Vieira came after a period of health complications. According to family information, she was a carrier of celiac disease and, after a pancreatitis in early May this year, developed a malnutrition picture that evolved severely, despite attempts to recover.

During her last hospital stay, Ceres eventually contracted pneumonia, which evolved into a severe condition called septic shock. The situation required intubation and intensive care in the Unimed Hospital ICU in Ponta Grossa.

The family even organized a virtual cow to assist in the costs of treatment during the period of hospitalization.

Trajectory in Campos Gerais communication

Recognized by colleagues and professionals of the regional press, Ceres Regina de Aguiar Vieira leaves a history built between journalism and law. His performance has marked different generations of local communication, especially in traditional vehicles of the Campos Gerais.

In addition to her work as a journalist, she has also dedicated part of her career to legal assistance, especially in the areas of family and successions.

The death generated expressions of regret among friends, family and people who followed his professional trajectory.

Veil and burial

According to information from Serviço Funerário Municipal, the funeral of journalist Ceres Vieira takes place in the Chapel of San Francisco, in Ponta Grossa.

The burial is scheduled for this Sunday (06), at 17h, in the crematorium Campos Gerais.

Ceres Regina de Aguiar Vieira leaves as a legacy a trajectory of dedication to communication, public service and the care of people through journalism and law.
