Kids Run takes place this Sunday in Ponta Grossa; check registrations and schedule

The Kids Race Shopping Plaza will be held on Sunday (11), in Ponta Grossa, with races aimed at children from 2 to 13 years. The event takes place at Shopping Plaza Campos Gerais, from 9:30 am, and will have courses between 50 and 400 meters, according to the age group of participants.

The program takes place on the eve of Children’s Day and seeks to encourage the practice of sports from childhood, bringing together children and family on a morning of sport and leisure.

According to the organization, registrations for the first edition of the Kids Race were made available by the Ticket Sports platform, with a value of R$ 39.90, plus service fee. The deadline initially announced for registration was until October 4.

Interested parties should consult the platform directly to verify any availability of vacancies or update during the registration period.

Races will have distances according to age

The competition will be divided into five categories, allowing each child to participate in a distance appropriate to their age.

Children from 2 to 4 years old compete on a 50-metre course. For 5 and 6 year olds, the race will have 100 meters. The 7 to 8 year old category will run 200 meters.

Competitors aged 9 and 10 will have a 300-meter course ahead, while participants aged 11 to 13 will compete the longest distance of the event, with 400 meters.

The organization is Muraro Sports Events.

Participants receive kit and medal

The so-called Athlete Kids Kit includes chest number, hydration, gifts provided by sponsors and a special participation medal delivered at the end of the event.

The official t-shirt of the event is not included in the basic registration amount and was made available separately for the value of R$ 50.

For Ponta Grossa participants, the withdrawal of the kits is scheduled for Saturday (10). Children registered from other cities will be able to pick up the material at the race site, on Sunday, between 7:30 and 8:00.

According to the superintendent of the Plaza Campos Gerais, Frederico Galvão, the proposal is to provide families with a schedule that combines physical activity and fun.

“For families, it is also an opportunity to combine sport and leisure in one program,” he says.
