Large Truck Capsizes on Campos Gerais Highway
The accident occurred in the morning of this Sunday (8), on km 24 of the highway, in the section connecting Reserva to the junction with BR-376. No one was injured.
A truck toppling in Reserva, municipality of the Campos Gerais do Paraná, was registered on Sunday morning (8), around 9 am, in km 24 of PR-441. The vehicle, a Volvo FH 540 that pulled three implements, crashed as it headed toward the junction with BR-376. The 48-year-old driver was not injured.
According to information from the State Highway Police (PRE), the accident occurred on the stretch between the municipality of Reserva and the junction with BR-376. The cargo vehicle, with the Paraná plates, was following the highway when the crash occurred.
The truck carried three implements.
According to the Polícia Militar Rodoviária report, the assembly consisted of a Volvo FH 540 tractor truck and three road implements, all with a plate on the Paraná.
The first implement was a Pastre SRBA 2E semi-trailer. The second was a Pastre Dolly 2E equipment, used in the composition of the transport set, while the third was also a Pastre SRBA 2E semi-trailer.
According to the police survey, the truck was traveling in the direction Reserve at the junction with BR-376 when, on reaching km 24 of PR-441, it suffered the toppling.
The occurrence caused material damage in the last two implements of the set, identified in the bulletin as V3 and V4.
A 48-year-old driver was not injured.
Despite the truck crash in Reserva, the driver, a 48-year-old man, came out unscathed. The State Road Police classified the occurrence as a traffic accident without victims.
The police report does not disclose the circumstances that caused the crash. No details were disclosed about the cargo transported or the need for blocking the highway during the service.
Therefore, it is not possible to state whether there were mechanical problems, loss of control of the steering or any other factor that contributed to the accident.

The service was carried out by the team of the Road Police Station of Telêmaco Borba, linked to the 5th Company of the Road Police Battalion (BPRv), of the Military Police of Paraná.
The PR-441 is one of the road links used for the trip between Reserva and BR-376, an important transport corridor serving the Campos Gerais region.
The fall recorded on Sunday resulted only in material damage, according to official information released by the corporation.
At the time of the police report, there was no record of people injured in the incident.
