Ligação Anita Garibaldi gets new bus route in Ponta Grossa
New bus route on Anita Garibaldi connection in Ponta Grossa starts on September 21, with more trips and reduced travel time.
The newly released Anita Garibaldi Connection, in Ponta Grossa, will also become part of the city’s public transport route. The City Council announced that the Leila Maria line will have the route changed from next September 21, through the new connection between the Orphans and Boa Vista neighborhoods.
Currently, the line makes part of the route through Vila Palmeirinha. With the change, the buses will pass through the Anita Garibaldi Link, serving residents of approximately ten villages and regions of the city.
According to the City Hall, the change should represent an average reduction of five minutes in travel time per trip.
Which regions will be served
The Anita Garibaldi Link was released for traffic on Sunday (7) and began to work as a new road alternative between different regions of Ponta Grossa.
With the new route of the Leila Maria line, passengers will be served from Jardim Bela Vista, Jacarandá, Leila Maria, Esplanade, Parque Nossa Senhora das Graças, Jardim Atlanta, Estrela da Colina and Vila Margarida, as well as from the vicinity of Avenida Antônio Saad and from areas close to Avenida Anita Gari.
The Esplanada line will continue to be an alternative for passengers who previously used the route of the Leila Maria line through Vila Palmeirinha.
Passengers can integrate
Those who need to use sections of the two lines can use the system of integration of public transport.
The passenger can disembark from a bus and board another line within the interval of up to 90 minutes, according to the rules of the system.
One of the points indicated for the integration is in Rua Lídia Scheidt Curi, which is part of the route of the two lines.
Line will have more trips per day
With the change, the new route will have 18 departure times from the neighborhood towards the Terminal Central on working days.
The first bus is scheduled to depart at 5:45 a.m., while the last journey will take place at 11:58 p.m.
Compared to the operation recorded in August, there will be four additional trips per business day. According to the Municipality, the change represents an increase of approximately 114 trips per month.

The new road link was built from the extension of Avenida Anita Garibaldi, allowing the crossing of the Arroio Lajeado Grande valley, which functioned as a natural barrier between the regions of Orfans and Boa Vista.
One of the main challenges of the work was the construction of a landfill that reaches up to 21 meters in height.
To form the structure, it took approximately 4,400 journeys of trucks loaded with land.
In total, the work created more than 630 meters of new road connection, with drainage systems, containment structures, new roads and accesses, pavements with accessibility, horizontal and vertical signage and a new roundabout in the Boa Vista region.
The Anita Garibaldi Connection is estimated to receive up to 15,000 vehicles per day, contributing to create a new commuting alternative between different regions of Ponta Grossa.
