Lula accepts Flávio's proposal to break bank secrecy
Lula's campaign gave until 11 a.m. on Thursday (22) for the opponent
The coordination of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva's campaign for re-election stated that the PT candidate accepted the conditions of his opponent, Flávio Bolsonaro (PL), to break the banking and telephone secrecy of him and his relatives. The information was given by the petista campaign coordinator, Camilo Santana.
"All the constraints he put, the president's answer is that he doesn't oppose anything he's proposing. As long as it also complies with and opens everything that is in the order that is registered with the TSE.”
Camilo said that he will be in the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) on Thursday (22), at 11 a.m., to register Lula's response. And gave that same day and time as a deadline for Flavio to open his banking and telephone secrecy and of his relatives.
“It’s the deadline he’ll have to be there and open up all his banking and telephone secrecy. You can't leave it after the election. The deadline is tomorrow,” Camilo said. The second round is scheduled for next Sunday (25th).
Defiance
Lula challenged Flavio during the debate between the two last Sunday, and pledged to open his banking and telephone secrecy, as well as that of his wife and children, as long as the opponent did the same. Lula’s idea is to reveal “who is honest and who is a thief”.
Yesterday (20), the PT candidate went to TSE, submitted a request authorizing the disclosure of the data and waited for the opponent's positioning.
Today, Flavio stated that he would accept the proposal as long as Lula extended the scope of the lifting of his secrecy. According to him, Lula should include in the breach of secrecy the data of Marco Aurélio Santana Ribeiro, former head of the president's cabinet.
The PL candidate also demanded that Lula make public the entry records of the businesswoman Roberta Luchsinger in the Palácio do Planalto, and break the secrets of José Ferreira da Silva, Frei Chico, Lula’s brother, among other conditions. According to Camilo, all conditions were accepted by Lula.
“If he owes nothing, he should have accepted the challenge of President Lula that Sunday,” said the coordinator of the campaign.
