Lula and Flávio Bolsonaro face off in final debate this Saturday (23)
Decisive meeting before the second round of the 2026 Elections will be live-streamed starting at 9:20 PM, mediated by César Tralli

The last presidential debate of the Elections 2026 is scheduled for this Friday (23), at 9:20 pm, time of Brasilia, in TV Globo. The meeting will bring together President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), candidate for re-election, and Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL), who are competing in the second round of the race for the Palácio do Planalto.
The debate will be held at Estúdios Globo, in Rio de Janeiro, with the mediation of journalist César Tralli. The broadcast will take place live, just after the Jornal Nacional, and will be able to be followed by voters from all over Brazil, including Ponta Grossa and the Campos Gerais, on the Paraná.
The confrontation is scheduled to take place just two days before the second round vote, scheduled for Sunday, October 25.
What time does the presidential debate of the Globo start?
The meeting between Lula and Flávio Bolsonaro is scheduled to begin at 21:20 this Friday (23). Voters will be able to follow the broadcast through different channels:
TV Globo: Live broadcast after the Jornal Nacional;
RPC: display of the debate for the Paraná viewers;
GloboNews: simultaneous broadcast;
g1: live coverage over the internet and subsequent availability of the full content;
Globoplay: access to the content of the debate by the platform.
The transmission will allow voters to follow the proposals, positions and questions of the two candidates before the decision in the polls.
What will be the debate between Lula and Flávio Bolsonaro?
The presidential debate of Globo will be divided into three blocks, with different formats of questions and answers.
In the first stage, the candidates should discuss issues related to the five Brazilian regions, defined by lot during the broadcast.
In the second block, the presidential candidates will be able to choose subjects among themes presented by the organization. In the third stage, the debate will be free, allowing Lula and Flávio Bolsonaro to directly address issues considered important for their campaigns.
Candidates will also have room for final considerations. Among the subjects that may appear are economics, public safety, health, education and social policies.
Last confrontation before the second round of the 2026 elections
The meeting on Friday will be the last opportunity for the two candidates to present their proposals face to face before the vote.
Lula and Flávio Bolsonaro already participated in a debate promoted by the Band on Sunday (18), when they discussed national issues and exchanged criticism about their political trajectories and government proposals.
The expectation is that the debate of Globo will focus the attention of the voters still undecided, especially due to the proximity of the second round of voting.
Before the confrontation, the station also conducted individual interviews conducted by journalist Renata Lo Prete. Lula participated in the Sabbath on October 15, while Flávio Bolsonaro was interviewed on October 16.
The second round of the 2026 elections takes place on Sunday (25), when Brazilians will go to the polls to choose the president of the Republic for the next four years.
