Flávio Bolsonaro (PL) and Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) are still in dispute in the second round of the election for President of the Republic. The two candidates were the most voted in the first round, held on Sunday (4), according to data from the Superior Electoral Court (TSE).
Flavio finished the count in first place, with 44.85 % of the valid votes, the equivalent of 55.499.853 votes. Lula came in second, with 44.7%, or 55,499,853 votes.
By 9:01 p.m., 98.2% of the polls had been totaled.
The presidential election is decided in the second round when no candidate gets more than half of the valid votes in the first round. The new vote is scheduled for October 25.
