Mabel Canto elected state deputy for Paraná

Mabel Canto (PP) was elected on Sunday (4) for another term in the Legislative Assembly of Paraná (Aleppo). The result guarantees the continuity of the representation of Ponta Grossa and Campos Gerais in the state legislature in the next legislatures.

Mabel contested the election seeking her third consecutive term as a state deputy. During the campaign, the parliamentarian reinforced as priorities the defense of the interests of Ponta Grossa and the municipalities of Campos Gerais, as well as guidelines related to health, education, infrastructure and women’s rights.

Third term in the Assembly

Mabel Canto first came to the Legislative Assembly after being elected in 2018. In 2022, she won re-election with 70,215 votes, a result that placed her among the most voted women in the Paraná in that poll.

During the first two terms, the deputy broadened her political activity in Ponta Grossa and in the region of Campos Gerais. Among the main flags are the allocation of resources to municipalities, investments in health and infrastructure and the defense of policies aimed at women.

In 2026, Mabel stated during the campaign that she had allocated more than R$ 209 million to the region during her mandate, in addition to highlighting actions in the areas of health and education.

Representativeness of Campos Gerais

The victory also keeps a representative directly linked to Ponta Grossa in the Legislative Assembly. Mabel went down in regional political history by becoming the first woman of the Campos Gerais elected state deputy.

In addition to parliamentary performance, Mabel gained state projection in recent years and even played Prefeitura de Ponta Grossa in 2024, when she advanced to the second round of the municipal election.

With the new result at the polls, the deputy will continue to represent Ponta Grossa and Campos Gerais in the Legislative Assembly of Paraná from 2027.
