Man dies after falling during possible escape from construction site in Ponta Grossa

A man died after falling in Ponta Grossa early on Sunday, in João Cecy Filho Street, in the region between Uvaranas and Neves neighborhood. Preliminary information raised by the BnT Online team indicates that the victim suffered a fall while fleeing a work where there was a suspicion of theft.

The BnT Online team was at the scene after the incident and spoke with people who were monitoring the situation. According to the reports obtained, the man would have entered a work or residence and would have been with tools when it was perceived by the person in charge of the property.

Among the objects that would have been found were tools used in works, such as drill, pliers and screwdriver. The circumstances and provenance of the materials, however, must be confirmed by the investigating authorities.

The man would have tried to escape

According to preliminary information, the person in charge of the property would have heard noises and, when checking what was happening, he noticed the presence of the man.

Upon noticing that he had been seen, he would have started an escape, passing through walls of nearby real estate. During the journey, the fall occurred which ended with the victim seriously injured.

There is no confirmation as to the exact dynamics of the accident. Reports obtained at the scene indicate that the man may have fallen while trying to cross a wall. The circumstances should be clarified from the work of the teams responsible for the care and investigation.

Samu found the death

After noticing the injured man, people who were nearby triggered the Mobile Emergency Service (Samu).

The rescue team was at the address, but the victim did not resist the injuries. The death was still at the scene.

The Scientific Police was also called in and carried out the necessary procedures related to the occurrence. Subsequently, the body was collected and referred to the Medical-Legal Institute (IML).

Until the information initially raised by the report, the man was without confirmed identification.

The case should be investigated to clarify both the circumstances that preceded the fall and what caused the death.
