Man dies hit-and-run on Souza Naves in PG, driver flees the scene
The incident prompted teams from CCR Rodonorte, Federal Highway Police and Legal Medical Institute to respond on Saturday night (17)
A serious run-in with fatality was recorded on Saturday night (17), in Avenida Souza Naves (urban stretch of BR-373), in Ponta Grossa. The accident occurred near Post Paraná.
According to the first information passed on by the Federal Highway Police (PRF), the victim, about 60 years old, was hit by a car whose driver did not stop to provide relief and escaped from the site shortly after the impact.

Rescuers from the CCR PR Vias dealership were called in to provide care, but the victim did not resist the injuries. The PRF carried out the isolation of the area and the signage of the traffic on the highway for the work of the authorities.
The Instituto Médico Legal (IML) also went to the crash site to collect the body. Until the closure of this matter, the identity of the victim and the model of the vehicle involved had not been disclosed. The case must be investigated by the Civil Police to identify the driver.
