Man falls from scaffolding during construction and drives injured to home in Ponta Grossa
51-year-old man fell from scaffolding during construction of a party hall in Ponta Grossa and drove injured to his home to seek help
A 51-year-old man was injured after falling from a scaffolding while working on the construction of a party hall at Jardim Centenário, Ponta Grossa. Even injured, he managed to get into his own car and drive to the family home to ask for help.
According to information on the site, the victim was alone in the construction when he suffered the fall of an elevated plane. After the accident, the man tried to contact relatives by phone but was unable to make the calls.
In view of the situation, he decided to use his own vehicle to move to a residence located in Rua Danila Marcondes Rodrigues, also in Jardim Centenário.
Upon arriving at the address, the relatives noticed the injuries and activated the Fire Department to provide care.
The man was suspected of fracture and injury to the face.
The Siate team, from the Fire Department, was called in to respond to the incident and found the man with several injuries caused by the fall.
The victim was suspected of a fracture in the left arm, which was quite purple, as well as injuries to both legs, especially in the cinnamon region.
The man also suffered injuries to the face, especially in the nose area.
According to information provided by the victim during the care, he was working on the construction of a party hall near the family home when he fell off the scaffolding.
The victim was referred to UPA Uvaranas
After receiving the first treatments on site, the man was referred by the Siate team to the Unit of Pronto Atendimento (UPA) Uvaranas, in Ponta Grossa, for medical evaluation.
To date, no information has been released about the height of the scaffold from which the victim fell or the definitive severity of the injuries.
The circumstances that caused the fall have also not been clarified.
