Man Found Dead in Ponta Grossa Center

A body was found at the Ponta Grossa Center and mobilized security and emergency teams on Saturday morning. The incident was recorded in Rua Ermelino de Leão, after a popular locate a fallen man on public roads and activate the service.

According to the record of the occurrence, the Municipal Civil Guard (GCM), through the Alpha team, was activated by Regional 01 to verify a possible death situation on the spot. Upon arriving at the address, officers found a man with no apparent signs of life.

The area was isolated by the GCM to preserve the site until the arrival of the other teams responsible for the service.

Samu confirmed the death

The Mobile Emergency Service (Samu) was called in and a team moved to Ermelino de Leão Street. After medical evaluation, the death of the man was verified.

In the face of the death, teams of the Scientific Police, the Medical-Legal Institute (IML) and the Civil Police were activated.

Experts were at the address to perform the necessary procedures before the removal of the body. Afterwards, the corpse was referred to the IML, where the forensic and identification procedures would be performed.

The body was located during the early morning hours.

Preliminary information indicates that the man was found around 5 a.m. on Saturday.

To date, there is no official information on the cause of death. There is also no confirmation, in the file submitted, about any criminal occurrence related to the case.

Preliminary information received by the report also indicates that the victim was treated in one of the Pronto Atendimento Units (UPAs) of Ponta Grossa on September 30. This data, however, still depends on confirmation with the responsible bodies and, therefore, does not allow to establish any relationship with the death recorded on Saturday.

The case must be clarified from the procedures carried out by the Scientific Police, the IML and the other bodies involved.
