Man Found Dead with Gunshot Wounds in Farming Area in Imbituva

A man found dead in Imbituva had two punctures on his body, possibly caused by gunfire. The occurrence was recorded around 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday (13), in a property located in the rural area of the municipality.

According to information from the Military Police, a team was triggered to provide care at a place of death. Upon arriving at the property, the police found a team from the Mobile Emergency Service (SAMU), which had already verified the death.

The victim's body was in the middle of a wheat plantation.

The body had two perforations

During the first surveys carried out at the site, two perforations were identified in the body of the man. The initial suspicion is that the injuries may have been caused by gunfire.

The dynamics of the occurrence and the circumstances of the death will still be investigated by the competent authorities.

Victim found stolen wiring

According to information raised by the Military Police, the victim reported, even the night before, that he had located part of a wiring that had been stolen previously.

According to the report passed on to the police, the man had expressed the intention to remain in the place and await a possible return of those responsible for the theft.

A witness said he heard gunfire during the night.

To date, there is no confirmation that the facts have a direct relationship to death. This hypothesis should be analyzed during the investigation.

The scientific police were called

The Scientific Police and the Medical-Legal Institute (IML) have been activated to carry out the necessary procedures, including the on-site expertise and the collection of the body.

The case should be investigated to clarify the authorship and motivation of the death.
