A serious incident mobilized security forces in the afternoon of Friday (9), in the São Braz neighborhood, in Curitiba. A man has broken into a Educação Infantil Municipal Center (CMEI) and is holding children, teachers and staff as hostages.
According to the information so far, the situation occurs at CMEI São Braz. Military police teams isolated the region and specialized units were mobilized to manage the crisis. Press vehicles from Curitiba also confirm the police mobilization and the presence of children and education professionals within the unit.
Preliminary information received by Portal BnT Online indicates that approximately 25 children would be involved in the occurrence. The exact number of hostages still depends on official confirmation.
