Attempted feminicide in Piraí do Sul leaves 35-year-old woman in critical condition; 48-year-old suspect was arrested by the Civil Police
A 48-year-old man was arrested by the Civil Police after an attempted femicide in Piraí do Sul, in Campos Gerais, on Sunday (4). A 35-year-old woman was struck by several knife strokes and found seriously injured inside a vehicle in the rural area of the municipality.
According to the information passed on about the occurrence, Civil Police officers carried out the arrest of the suspect after the attack. The victim had injuries caused by knife wounds in the regions of the neck, chest and back.
The woman was located inside the car itself and needed emergency care. A team from the Mobile Emergency Service (Samu) was activated and initially referred the victim to the Municipal Hospital of Piraí do Sul.
Victim is in serious condition
After receiving the first medical attention, the woman remained hospitalized in a serious condition. According to the information available on the case, she needed to be intubated and was waiting for transfer to a hospital unit at Ponta Grossa, where she should receive specialized care.
The victim's health inspires care.
The incident mobilized security and medical care teams during this Sunday. The circumstances that preceded the aggression must be part of the investigation conducted by the Civil Police.

The man who was identified as a suspect in the attack is 48 years old and was located and arrested by civil police officers.
