Military Police of DF carry out operation with anti-bomb squad

A man was arrested early Thursday night (1) while trying to invade the headquarters building of the Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF).
According to information from the Court’s security teams, the man tried to skip the security grid and threw a backpack on the roof of a bus stop.
"As he threw a backpack over the bus stop, it became necessary to trigger Operation Petardo, with the adoption of the procedures envisaged for the investigation of possible explosive artifact," STF reported.
At this time, the Military Police of the Federal District conducts an operation with teams of the anti-bomb squad.
"The perimeter has been isolated and remains under the control of the teams, awaiting the arrival of the Anti-Bomb Squadron for evaluation and security procedures," the PMDF said.
The Ministries' esplanade was closed and the area of STF was isolated for scanning work.
At the time of the attempted invasion, STF president Edson Fachin had already left the building. In the headquarters, there is the presidency, the plenary, the general directorate and the press area of the STF.
