Man is arrested after severely abusing ex-partner in Ortigueira
During an argument, the man allegedly threw punches and kicks at the ex, knocking her down, and later dragged her by pulling her hair
On the morning of Tuesday (6), in Ortigueira, a woman entered the Municipal Hospital presenting injuries resulting from a serious physical aggression.
According to the victim's report to military police, she was allegedly assaulted by the former partner, even if there is an emergency protective measure in place against him. As reported, during a misunderstanding, the man would have punched and kicked the victim, knocking her down and then dragging and pulling her through the hair.
The aggressions caused several bruises, in addition to dislocation and fracture of the collarbone. Due to the severity of the injury, the medical team informed that it would be necessary to transfer the victim to a hospital unit of greater support, in another municipality.
Soon, police began searching for the suspect who was located near the hospital. During the approach, he confirmed that he was aware of the protective measure and admitted to assaulting the victim after a disagreement motivated by jealousy.
The man received a voice of arrest and was referred to the Civil Police Station for appropriate measures.
