20-year-old man is arrested after suspicion of using fake PIX receipts to retrieve goods from a store in Ponta Grossa

A 20-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday afternoon on suspicion of applying scams using fake PIX proofs at a military supplies store, in Ponta Grossa. The incident was recorded around 3:49 p.m., at Avenida General Carlos Cavalcanti, in the Uvaranas neighborhood.
According to the Military Police of Paraná (PMPR), the owner of the establishment reported that, since September 2026, an individual had been making purchases and sending alleged proof of transfers via PIX.
After the documents were sent, the goods were withdrawn, but the payments were not effectively credited to the store account.
The suspect returned to the establishment.
On Wednesday, the suspect made a new contact with the intention of acquiring other materials. The military police were activated and remained in the establishment awaiting the arrival of the man.
When he came to the place to collect the products, he was approached by the police.
According to the PM, initially the suspect had provided false names to the team. After being identified, he allegedly confessed to the forgery of the PIX vouchers.
Materials have been recovered
According to the police report, the man said that the materials previously acquired through the coup were in his residence.
The police followed to the indicated property and located the objects, which were recovered.
In the face of the situation, the man received a voice of arrest and was referred, along with the owner of the store and the recovered materials, to the 13th Police Subdivision (13th SDP) of Ponta Grossa.
