Man is arrested with 58 kilograms of marijuana in Castro

A strategic action of the Paraná Military Police, through the teams of the Shock Police Platoon of the 1st BPM, in support of the Local Intelligence Agency (ALI), resulted in the arrest of a man and the seizure of 58.1 kilograms of marijuana and 30 grams of cocaine, on Tuesday (20), in the municipality of Castro.

The operation was triggered after information about a property that was being used as a warehouse for drugs intended for distribution in the municipalities of Castro and Ponta Grossa.

During the carriage, police identified a man handling and packing marijuana tablets in the garage of a residence. The approach resulted in the location of a significant amount of narcotics, in addition to equipment used in weighing the substances.

In all, 58.1 kilograms of marijuana, 30 grams of cocaine and two precision scales were seized.

According to information gathered during the occurrence, the property would be used for storing and distributing drugs, with possible connection to another individual who has open arrest warrants for crimes related to drug trafficking.

The man approached received a voice of arrest and was referred, along with the seized materials, to the Civil Police Station for the appropriate procedures.

The action highlights the efficiency of the integrated work between the specialized police and the police intelligence of the 1st BPM, demonstrating the operational capacity of the Military Police in the confrontation of drug trafficking and in the identification of structures used to supply the illegal trade of narcotics in the region.

The Military Police of Paraná reaffirms its commitment to the security of the population, acting in a strategic, integrated and permanent way in the fight against crime.
