Man is arrested with over 300 crack rocks in Jaguariaíva

A drug trafficking case in Jaguariaíva ended with the arrest of a man and the seizure of more than 300 crack stones on Thursday afternoon. The incident was recorded during the Operação Cidade Segura and mobilized teams from ROTAM and Rádio Patrulha Auto (RPA) of the Military Police.

According to information from the Military Police, the approach occurred after the teams received information about a possible commercialization of narcotics in a residence located in Rua Santaninha Leal de Andrade, in Jaguariaíva, in Campos Gerais.

The complaint had been forwarded through the System of Anonymous Reports 181. From the information received, the police went to the address indicated to check the situation.

Suspicion of giving away crack stones

According to the police report, during the arrival of the teams at the site, a man was seen in the vicinity of the residence.

Upon noticing the presence of the police, according to the PM, he would have dispensed two crack stones. Faced with the situation, the agents carried out the approach.

During the review, police found another stone of the same substance with the man.

Following the occurrence, the teams searched the property related to the complaint.

More than 300 stones have been found.

Inside the residence, police found a jar containing 322 other crack stones, as reported by the Military Police.

Added to the portions found during the approach, more than 300 units of the drug were seized in the occurrence.

The amount found led to the arrest of the suspect for involvement in drug trafficking in Jaguariaíva.

The man received a voice from prison and was referred, along with the seized material, to the appropriate legal procedures.

The Military Police did not inform, in the initial report of the occurrence, the age of the suspect nor details about any amount by weight of the drug seized.

Operação Cidade Segura

The arrest took place during the activities of Operação Cidade Segura, which brings together police actions to oversee, approach and combat different types of crimes.

The incident also began on the basis of an anonymous complaint. The 181 phone can be used by the population to forward information to the security forces without the need for the identification of the whistleblower.
