Man is arrested with tampered motorcycle in Ponta Grossa during police stop in the Center. Vehicle had signs of fraud.

A 25-year-old man was arrested by the Military Police with a motorcycle tampered with on Ponta Grossa during an approach held on Thursday night in the Central region of the municipality. The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. during a traffic jam carried out by the Transit Operations Group (GOTran) team.
According to information from the Military Police, the team was conducting the inspection when they boarded the motorcycle driven by the suspect. During the initial check, the police found that the man did not have a National License (CNH) to drive the vehicle.
In addition to the irregularity related to the driver, the team identified problems in the identification signs of the motorcycle. According to the PM, there were indications of tampering and deletion in the numbering of the vehicle chassis.
During the consultation with the security systems, the police checked that the original identification related to the chassis corresponded to a vehicle with definitive discharge, increasing suspicions about the origin of the motorcycle.
Faced with the irregularities found, the man received a voice of imprisonment and was referred to the Civil Police Station of Ponta Grossa, where the appropriate legal procedures were adopted.
The motorcycle was also seized by the police team and was made available to the authorities for the necessary measures of investigation.
Cases involving adulterated motorcycles are part of the surveillance actions carried out by the security forces to combat crimes related to the circulation of vehicles with irregular identification.
The traffic operations carried out by the Military Police seek to verify documentation, vehicle conditions and possible irregularities that may indicate crimes, such as tampering with identifying signs, theft or other fraud involving motorcycles and cars.
