Attempted murder in Palmeira leaves man shot in the neck and abdomen. Military Police are searching for the suspect.
An attempted murder in Palmeira left a man shot late Sunday night (27). The victim was struck in the neck and abdomen regions and needed to be referred to hospital care. The police searched for the suspect, who allegedly fled on foot after the shooting.
According to the information passed on by the Military Police, a team was activated to attend to the occurrence after reports of gunfire in the municipality of Palmeira, in the Campos Gerais.
At the scene, witnesses told police that approximately three shots had been fired. The victim had injuries caused by gunshots in the regions of the neck and abdomen.
A team of the Mobile Emergency Service (SAMU) was mobilized and carried out the first calls still at the site of the occurrence. The man was then taken to a hospital unit.
So far, no updated information has been released about the health of the victim.
Suspect would have fled on foot
According to the reports collected during the attendance of the occurrence, the person responsible for the shootings would have left the place on foot by Rua Dom Alberto Gonçalves.
Preliminary information indicates that the suspect proceeded towards the Regina Vitória neighborhood after the attempted murder in Palmeira.
The Military Police began diligence immediately after being triggered, conducting searches in different points of the region in an attempt to locate the suspect.
Despite the searches carried out, he had not been found until the disclosure of the information by the corporation.
The police are asking for help from the people
The circumstances that led to the shootings and the possible motivation of the crime were not informed. The case should be investigated by the responsible bodies to clarify the dynamics of the occurrence and identify the author.
The Military Police directs that any information that may contribute to the location of the suspect be communicated to the security forces.
