Man places fire in furniture after threatening pregnant wife in PG
Municipal Guard is looking for suspect after fire damages residence in Vila Santa Lúcia; Fire Department was called
A fire at a home in Ponta Grossa mobilized teams of the Fire Department and the Municipal Guard after furniture was burned inside a house in Vila Santa Lúcia, Jardim Carvalho region, on Friday (18). According to initial information, the fire started after a family disagreement and hit part of the structure of the property.
The incident involved a couple and was recorded after a report from the wife to the security teams. According to the information initially passed on, the man had presented a changed behavior since the previous day and, after a discussion, he had made threats against his companion.
According to the victim’s account, she left the residence to seek care at a health post and, during this period, the man allegedly set fire to furniture that was on the outside of the house. The flames eventually hit the property.
Among the objects destroyed were two sofas and beds. Other items were also damaged, including a table and a mattress, which would have been cut.
The family consists of five people. The wife is six months pregnant.
Police are searching for suspect
After the incident, the Municipal Guard began searching for the man indicated as suspected of causing the fire.
According to initial information, the man wears an anklet and has already served his sentence for drug trafficking. The situation should be assessed by the responsible authorities.
The Fire Department was activated to control the flames and carry out the attendance of the occurrence. The teams acted to prevent the fire from causing even greater damage to the residence.
