Mandant of homicide in Contorno is indicted in Ponta Grossa
Crime occurred on January 1st, 2025 in Ponta Grossa had motivation in drug trafficking and the victim was killed by mistake; the target would have been the father-in-law.

The Civil Police of Ponta Grossa, concluded the police investigation that investigated the murder of Marcos de Assumpção Taques, which occurred on January 1, 2025, in the Contorno neighborhood. A 29-year-old man has been formally indicted as the commander and articulator of the crime.
The investigations showed that the crime was motivated by territorial disputes related to drug trafficking in the region. It was proved, however, that there was an error in the execution: the planned target was originally the father-in-law of the victim, with whom the investigator maintained constant armed friction. At the time of the attack, the executioners were confused and targeted Marks of Assumption by surprise in front of the property, preventing any chance of defense.
According to the investigation, the defendant exercised complete control over the criminal enterprise, being responsible for the planning and coordination of the action, in addition to having provided vehicles and firearms to consummate the attack. In the course of the diligence, the man was arrested by the Military Police in possession of a military arsenal, and the ballistic confrontation report confirmed that one of the 9mm pistols seized was the one used in the murder.
In the face of the evidence gathered, the 29-year-old was indicted for the practice of qualified homicide on a clumsy ground and through an appeal that made it impossible to defend the victim (article 121, § 2o, subparagraphs I and IV, of the Penal Code).
The delegate responsible for the case, Luís Gustavo Timossi, stressed that the steps are continuing to identify the material perpetrators of the crime. Information that helps in the elucidation of the others involved can be passed on anonymously by Disc-Denuncia 181.
