Marine opens competition with 400 positions for middle-level technicians

The Brazilian Navy (MB) published on Wednesday (28) the public tender for admission to the Auxiliary Corps of Squares (CAP). There are 400 vacancies for middle-level technicians, in various areas and specialties, who wish to pursue a military career.

Applications will be open from July 2nd to July 15th, 2025, with a fee of R$ 70.00. Candidates registered in the Single Registry for Social Programs (Cadúnico) and bone marrow donors can apply for exemption between July 2 and 7, 2025.

To participate, the candidate must be Brazilian, of both sexes, and be between 18 and less than 25 years of age by June 30, 2026. In addition, candidates must have completed or be in the phase of completing the technical course of middle level and be registered in the supervisory body, where it exists, relating to the qualification to which it is concuring until the date of enrolment in the course.

The Cable Training Course (C-FCB), intended for the preparation of the square for entry into the CAP career, is held at the Almirante Alexandrino Instruction Center (CIAA), in Rio de Janeiro (RJ). The notice provides for vacancies in different tables and their respective specialties, as presented in the following tables:

The edict emphasizes that, in addition to the related titles for each specialty, the documents proving the completion of technical courses of middle level whose names previously used appear in the Convergence Table of the National Catalogue of Technical Courses (4th Edition), available on the electronic website of the Ministry of Education (MEC), on the Internet at https://cnct.mec.gov.br/cursos

In the case of the candidate presenting a proof of higher education, the published document informs that technical consultation will be carried out to the Military Technical Guidance Organization (MOTO) of the specialty, which will evaluate if the curricular grade of the candidate's higher education course covers the entire grade of the middle education course provided for in the Edict, including the required practices and experiences.

Approved candidates in all phases and classified within the number of vacancies will be prepared and trained for the exercise of functions, according to their qualifications and attending to the convenience of the service, through the necessary training, which comprises military-naval education and professional education. During the Cable Training Course (C-FCB), in the condition of a special square, students receive uniform, food and medical, dental, psychological, social and religious assistance. Upon completion of the course, the graduates are promoted to the post of Cape of CAP.

Stages of the contest

The first stage consists of an Objective Written Proof of Professional Knowledge for each qualification and Writing, with a total duration of 4 hours, of eliminatory and classification character. The purpose of the test will be to verify the candidate's basic and professional training and will consist of 50 questions drawn up in accordance with the programs described in Annex III of the notice.

Those approved in the initial phase will be summoned for the complementary stages, which include from the verification of biographical data and documents to the completion of the health inspection, psychological evaluation and the Physical Fitness Test (TAF-i).

The TAF-i, of eliminatory character, evaluates if the candidate meets the physical standards required by the Navy. The test is conducted on two non-consecutive days and involves swimming (25 meters) and running (2,400 meters). The times required in the tests vary according to the sex of the candidate.
