Marlon Alessandro prioritizes health and calls for more political strength in PG

The candidate for state deputy Marlon Alessandro (PT) stated that he intends to focus his work on public health, especially in the reduction of queues by consultations with specialist doctors in the Paraná. In an interview with BnT Elections 2026 on Tuesday (8), he also advocated strengthening the political representation of Ponta Grossa and Campos Gerais in the Legislative Assembly of Paraná (Aleppo).

Professor Marlon said the decision to contest a job in Aleppo was influenced by the experience of recent years working with demands referred to the state legislature. According to him, the reports of patients who wait months or even years for specialized care made health become one of the main flags of the candidacy.

“I am focusing on public health because of these problems that come to me on a large scale,” he said.

Proposal for consultations with experts

Among the proposals presented during the interview is the creation of a state legislation to establish a deadline for the care of patients who need specialist doctors. Marlon argued that the Paraná has mechanisms to avoid prolonged waits and said he intends to work to make patients have faster access to specialist care.

“I want you to have a law on Paraná that requires the specialist doctor to attend within 30 days,” the candidate said. For him, in addition to the increase in the supply of specialists, it is necessary to improve the organization of the public network to avoid unnecessary displacements of patients between municipalities.

More MPs for Ponta Grossa and region

Another point highlighted by the candidate was the political representativeness of the Campos Gerais. Marlon estimated that the economic and population importance of the region should result in a greater presence of local representatives both in the Legislative Assembly and in the Chamber of Deputies.

“It is not possible that we cannot have, in a city that is the fifth largest in the state, at least four or five state deputies to represent us in the Assembly,” he said.

The candidate said that this representation should go beyond the partisan differences and result in concrete investments for the municipalities. “That brings practical results, that brings a UBS, that brings a polyclinic, that brings hospital, that brings doctor, that brings investments and resources that change for good,” he said.

Criticism of the state government

During the interview, Marlon also criticized the current situation of Paraná in areas such as public safety, education, health, sanitation and energy. According to the candidate, the next state government should expand public investments in these areas. He advocated greater application of resources in health and education, as well as investments in public safety and infrastructure.

Marlon also criticized spending that he considers unnecessary by the state government and said that reducing those spending could free up resources for public policies. The evaluations and accusations made by the candidate during the interview represent his position in the electoral debate.

Alignment with PT

Speaking about his political group, Marlon highlighted his connection with the Workers’ Party and with President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. The candidate cited programs and investments of the Federal Government in Ponta Grossa, especially in the areas of health and hospital infrastructure, and stated that he intends to expand the action of the political group in the region.

For Marlon, the election must be based on the comparison between proposals, investments made and results presented by the different political groups.

“Ideological discussion will not put doctor in the post”

At the end of the interview, Marlon again placed health as a priority of an eventual performance in the Legislative Assembly. Professor and natural of Ponta Grossa, he stated that he intends to represent mainly residents who depend on public services and reinforced the proposal to reduce the waiting time for experts.

“I want to ask for the support of the electorate so that we can do this work with results for the real population, not just stay in the ideological discussion, because it will not put food on the table, it will not put a doctor in the health post and it will not solve the problems of the population,” he concluded.
