Mentions to the STF rise 269% after Moraes-Vorcaro dialogues
Search interest for the STF on Google rose from 20 to 39 in the last 7 days, a 269% increase compared to the average of the last 5 years. The Bites survey, released this Saturday (5.set.2026), analyzed posts by presidential candidates and deputies following the impact of the dialogues between Minister Alexandre de Moraes and Daniel Vorcaro.

Search interest for the Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF) on Google has jumped significantly in the last seven days. According to a survey by consulting firm Bites, the demand for the court rose from an average of 20 points in the last five years to 39 points in the last week, representing a growth of 269%. Expressions such as “demonstration against the STF” have entered the list of rising subjects on the platform.
The data is contained in a report released on Saturday (5.Sep.2026), 29 days before the first round of elections. The survey was published after the repercussions of Federal Police documents showing the relationship between Minister Alexandre de Moraes and Daniel Vorcaro, former owner of Banco Master. The dissemination of the dialogues stimulated the public debate on the performance of the court and its presence in the electoral campaign.
Presidentials speak less, but engage more
Despite the strong public engagement, the main presidential candidates did not concentrate their publications on the subject. Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), Flávio Bolsonaro (PL), Renan Santos (Missão), Augusto Cury (Avante), Romeu Zema (Novo) and Ronaldo Caiado (PSD) published together 789 posts on X, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok in the last 7 days. STF appeared in 15% of that content, but accounted for 23% of the 14.5 million interactions recorded by the presidential candidates, according to the Bites survey.
The former governor of Minas Gerais Romeu Zema was the one who rated the issue proportionally, with 35% of his posts focused on the crisis in STF. In their profiles, 42.8% of interactions were in publications on the subject. Of Flávio Bolsonaro’s posts, 26% were on the subject, which resulted in 44% of their interactions. Ronaldo Caiado dedicated 12% of posts to the theme, which concentrated 40% of interactions.
President Lula devoted 5.7% of his content to the court crisis, reaching 18% of his total interactions. Renan Santos reserved 13% of posts for STF (9% of interactions), while Augusto Cury recorded the lowest rates: 2.8% of posts and 0.4% of engagement. The figures indicate that, even without prioritizing the subject, candidates garnered disproportionate engagement when they approached it.

MPs prioritize campaign, but STF yields more
In the House, members prioritized the campaign agenda rather than the debate on the Court. Of the 15,446 posts made by congressmen, 11.4% addressed STF, while 25.9% focused on election events. The Judiciary’s agenda created a greater volume of engagement: 16.3 million interactions (average of 9.3 thousand per post), compared to 4.7 million of campaign content (1.2 thousand per post).
Bites’ report did not detail the cut by party or state, but the general numbers show that the STF theme mobilizes the digital base more intensely than traditional election propaganda. The difference in interaction averages suggests that the public is more likely to share and comment on posts about the court than on rallies or campaign agendas.
Context of the crisis and electoral impact
The disclosure of Federal Police documents on the relationship between Moraes and Vorcaro rekindled the debate about the performance of STF and its proximity to financial market agents. The case gained traction on social networks and influenced the agenda of candidates, albeit unevenly. Bites did not detail the content of the dialogues, but the report points out that the court crisis has become one of the hottest topics of the campaign’s final straight.
For the voter, the growth in searches and the engagement in the networks indicate that the STF can be a decisive factor in the choice of the vote. 29 days into the first round, the trend is for the matter to continue upwards, pressuring candidates to position themselves more clearly. The next step, according to the report, is to track whether the issue remains at the top of searches or loses strength in the face of other scandals.
The Boca no Trombone Portal will continue to monitor the unfolding of the STF crisis and its impact on the electoral campaign. Follow our updates for more analysis and unique data.
