Misses of PG gain national spotlight and reveal invitation to compete in foreign contests

The Ponta Grossa misses that recently participated in national beauty contests were at BnT Online to tell a little about the experiences lived in the competitions, the preparation for the stages and the upcoming challenges. During the interview, the young representatives from different neighborhoods of the city also revealed invitations to participate in international events.

Giovanna, Taynara, Maria Eduarda, Livia and Ingrid represented Ponta Grossa in competitions related to the Little Miss and Miss Teen categories. In addition to the tracks and experiences gained, some of them now dream of taking the name of the city and Brazil to other countries.

From different neighborhoods to the stages

Participants represent different regions of Ponta Grossa. During the conversation with the BnT, Taynara told that she lives in Santa Paula, while Giovanna is from Uvaranas. Maria Eduarda represents Vila Sipa, Lívia is of Oficinas and Ingrid, of Cara-Cará.

For them, participating in the competitions goes beyond the performances on stage. The young women highlighted the friendships, the contact with candidates from other cities and countries and the opportunity to get to know different cultures.

“It was cool, it was amazing,” Giovanna summarized when talking about the experience.

Taynara also highlighted that participating was a dream, despite the intense routine that involves preparation, rehearsals and the moments before entering the stage.

Maria Eduarda receives invitation to South Africa

Among the highlights of the interview is Maria Eduarda, who received an invitation to participate in a competition in South Africa.

According to her, the possibility of traveling outside the country represents the realization of a dream and also an opportunity to carry the name of Ponta Grossa and Brazil internationally.

“I never left Brazil. So, leaving, I want to carry not only the name of Ponta Grossa, but the name of Brazil,” he said.

The young woman also explained that the costs of an international competition are high and, therefore, she seeks sponsors who can contribute to make the trip possible.

Livia can represent Ponta Grossa in Russia

Livia, 16, also received an international invitation. The young woman, who accumulates entries and achievements in competitions, will be able to compete in a competition in Russia.

During the interview, she stated that traveling abroad has always been a dream and highlighted the interest in Russian culture.

Like Maria Eduarda, Lívia seeks support and sponsors to cover travel-related expenses.

“A trip close to is already difficult to maintain, imagine going out of the country,” he said.

Preparation begins before going on stage

The misses also explained that preparing for a contest involves much more than makeup and costumes.

Runway rehearsals, jump adaptation, knowledge of the dress and movement training are part of the routine.

Livia explained that details such as the length of the tail of the dress can directly interfere with the presentation. Therefore, candidates need to rehearse in advance to avoid tripping or trouble during the turns on stage.

Maria Eduarda also highlighted that the meetings before the competitions help the participants to meet other candidates.

On one of the trips to Curitiba, for example, they had contact with representatives of other countries, among them participants from Africa and Russia.

Dream of taking Ponta Grossa to the world

Throughout the interview with BnT Online, the young women reinforced their pride in representing their neighborhoods and Ponta Grossa in competitions.

Between nervousness, rehearsals, dresses, makeup and expectation for the disclosure of the results, they say that the feeling of receiving a track compensates for all the preparation.

Now, for some of the leading representatives, the next step may go beyond Brazil’s borders.

With invitations to competitions in South Africa and Russia, the Masses seek support to turn international opportunities into reality and bring the name of Ponta Grossa to the world stage.
