Motorcyclist Falls After Slipping on Wet Track During Rain in Ponta Grossa

A motorcycle accident in Ponta Grossa was recorded on the afternoon of Friday (4), at about 17:07, in Doctor Paula Xavier Street. The incident involved a motorcycle and a Jeep Compass and ended only with material damage.

According to information provided by the patrulhamento viário team, the accident occurred after a maneuver carried out by one of the drivers involved. The driver of the Jeep Compass, identified by the initials J. M.M. C., made a conversion to the left to access a private parking lot.

At the same time, the driver of the motorcycle, identified by the initials D. V.I. B., I was traveling the same way. According to the record of the occurrence, the motorcyclist ended up losing control of the vehicle after slipping on the wet pavement due to the rain and fell to the ground.

Despite the crash, there was no record of injuries. The two drivers refused medical attention and the situation was monitored by the teams responsible for attending the occurrence.

The motorcycle involved in the accident has a UCI-XXXX license plate, while the Jeep Compass involved has a RHG-XXXX license plate. According to the patrulhamento viário, only material losses were recorded on the vehicles.

The driver received traffic tickets.

During the service of the motorcycle accident in Ponta Grossa, the teams also verified irregularities related to the documentation of the motorcycle driver.

Infringement documents were drawn up based on the Brazilian Traffic Code (CTB). The rulings were applied by article 162, subsection I, which deals with driving a vehicle without having a National License (CNH), Permit to Drive (PPD) or Authorization to Drive a Moped (ACC).

There has also been an infraction provided for in article 164 in conjunction with article 162, paragraph I, concerning the permit or delivery of the driving of the vehicle to a person without a license.

After the completion of the administrative procedures, the road was fully cleared for regular traffic.

The Military Police were also present during the attendance of the occurrence, providing support to the teams of patrulhamento viário.
