Motorcyclist hits car's rear end and suffers serious injuries in Uvaranas

A collision between a car and a motorcycle in Ponta Grossa left a 36-year-old motorcyclist seriously injured on Saturday morning in Alameda Nabuco de Araújo, next to the Colégio Agrícola in the Uvaranas region.

According to information at the scene, the accident occurred around 6:20. The driver of a Ford Ka followed through the region and accessed Alameda Nabuco de Araújo after leaving Rua Teixeira Mendes.

According to reports, the driver of the car reduced the speed to pass through an existing backbone on the road. At this time, the motorcyclist who was coming right behind would have hit the rear of the vehicle.

With the impact of the crash, the motorcyclist suffered serious injuries, mainly in the head area. The teams of the Mobile Emergency Service (SAMU) were triggered and carried out the first calls.

The victim had to be intubated and referred to the Regional Hospital of Ponta Grossa in a serious state. According to initial information, the man was unconscious at the time of medical attention.

The motorcyclist also wore an electronic anklet. The identity of the victim was not disclosed.

The driver of the Ford Ka, a resident of the area, suffered no injuries. He remained at the scene to provide clarifications to the security teams.

After the accident, a military police team was in Alameda Nabuco de Araújo to register the occurrence report and perform the necessary procedures.
