Motorcyclist Injured in Collision Between Motorcycle and Car on PR-151 in Carambeí

A crash on the PR-151 left a 34-year-old motorcyclist injured on Tuesday morning in Carambeí, in the Campos Gerais do Paraná. The side collision involving a Suzuki V-Strom 650 motorcycle and a Renault Boreal car occurred at around 11:40 a.m., at the 315.7 km highway, in the direction of Ponta Grossa to Carambeí.

According to information from Polícia Militar Rodoviária do Paraná (BPRv), the two vehicles were travelling in the same direction when they were involved in the accident. The incident was attended by teams of the 5th Company of the Road Police Battalion, through the post of Piraí do Sul.

The motorcyclist suffered injuries as a result of the collision and had to be referred to the Pronto Atendimento Medical Santa Paula, in Ponta Grossa, to receive medical assistance.

The driver of the car, also 34 years old, suffered no injuries, according to the record released by the Road Police.

Accident on PR-151 happened in the direction Carambeí

According to the survey carried out on site, the accident occurred on the stretch of PR-151 that connects Ponta Grossa to Carambeí, in the vicinity of km 316.

The occurrence was classified as lateral bump, an expression used to identify collisions involving the sides of vehicles.

The motorcycle involved was a Suzuki V-Strom 650, driven by the man who was injured. The second vehicle was a Renault Boreal, driven by the woman who came out unharmed.

The Road Police bulletin does not detail the circumstances that caused the collision, nor does it inform whether there was a need for interruption or diversion of traffic during the service.

Motorcyclist was taken to Ponta Grossa

After the accident on PR-151, the motorcycle driver was referred to Pronto Atendimento Medical Santa Paula, located in the municipality of Ponta Grossa.

Although the Road Police have confirmed that the man suffered injuries, the statement does not provide details about the severity of the injuries or about his state of health after the referral.

Also, no information was disclosed about the conduct of examinations or the possible need to transfer to another hospital unit.

The PR-151 is an important road link between municipalities of Campos Gerais, including Ponta Grossa and Carambeí, used daily in the regional displacement.

Until the release of the information by Polícia Militar Rodoviária, there were no additional details about the causes of the accident.
