Motorcyclist tries to change lanes and ends up hit by Jeep in PG
Accident between car and motorcycle in Ponta Grossa leaves 40-year-old motorcyclist injured in the Center. The victim was attended to by Siate and taken to PA Santana.
A car and motorcycle accident left a 40-year-old motorcyclist injured on Wednesday night. The collision occurred at the intersection of Bonifácio Vilela and Júlia Wanderley streets in the central region of Ponta Grossa, and involved a motorcycle and a Jeep Renegade. The victim received care from Siate and was referred to Pronto Atendimento Santana.
According to the information found on the spot, the motorcyclist was following the Bonifácio Vilela Street, in the direction of the Center, using the lane on the right. In the same direction, an 18-year-old Jeep Renegade was driving along the left lane.
According to the initial report of the occurrence, the motorcyclist would have started a change of lane with the intention of accessing a parking space intended for motorcycles. During the maneuver, the Jeep Renegade collided.
The exact circumstances of the accident must be clarified by the authorities responsible for recording the occurrence.
Motorcyclist was rescued by Siate
After the collision, teams from the Integrated Emergency Trauma Service (SIATE), of the Fire Department, were triggered to provide assistance to the motorcyclist.
The 40-year-old man had a bruise in the hip and coccyx region, according to the initial information provided during the care.
After receiving first aid from the rescue team, the victim was referred to Pronto Atendimento Santana, in Ponta Grossa, for medical evaluation and continuity of care.
Up-to-date information on the motorcyclist's state of health after arrival at the care unit has not been released.
Police were called to record the incident.
Patrol teams and the Military Police were also activated to attend the occurrence and carry out the necessary procedures.
The Military Police were responsible for registering the incident report, which should gather information about the collision and the circumstances reported by those involved.
The driver of the 18-year-old Jeep Renegade was identified during the incident. There is no information on injuries to the driver of the car.
