Munich Festival is postponed in Ponta Grossa and has no new date
Organization cites economic difficulties, reduced public interest and weather concerns; new date was not announced

The 35th Münchenfest has been postponed to Ponta Grossa. The National Festival of the Dark Chop was scheduled to take place between November 6 and 15, 2026, at the Event Center. The decision was communicated by the organization in an official note, without announcing a new date.
According to the statement, the postponement was defined after an analysis of the current scenario. Among the justifications presented are the economic difficulties that affect families, companies and sponsors, as well as a “great reduction in public interest in the event” and the political scenario.
The organization also attributes the decision to concerns about adverse weather forecasts that, according to the note, would be associated with the El Niño phenomenon and could compromise the realization of the party and the safety of the public. “The decision was complex given the historical importance of the party,” the organization says.

Contest of the Majesties
Candidates who have won a place in the Contest of the Majesties, through the previous selection already made, will have the right to participate preserved. According to the press release, the vacancies will be secured with the Municipal Secretariat of Tourism of Ponta Grossa for when the new date of the 35th edition is defined.
At the end of the note, the organization appreciates the understanding of the public and the partners involved.
